Managing your journal forms online
Avoid manuscript delays with electronic form completion for authors – featuring dashboard tracking, notifications and scheduled reminders.
The e-forms process
- Send form: Author (submitting or all authors) receive email with a deep-link to the form. Alternatively, the form can be completed by visiting the Author Center.
- Reminders: A reminder schedule can be set up based on the due date for each e-form task.
- Completed form: Author or authors complete and submit the form – journal staff check and approve or return to author(s).
- Forms collected: The process is auditable and completed forms are retained with the manuscript metadata – and can be exported with the manuscript.
- Forms exported: Each collected form is included manuscript exports.
E-forms are configurable online forms that can be completed directly or as documents that authors can download and complete offline and then upload or return.
E-forms can be triggered at any point from the completed submission onwards. Choose to collect them immediately, on revision, or after acceptance.
E-forms can be sent to either the submitting or all authors.

Tasks
Can be completed in parallel with other workflow tasks or sequentially (manuscripts will not proceed until the e-forms are completed).

Author completion
Direct links to the e-form can be embedded in the notification and reminder emails or the forms can be completed through the Author Center

Form customization
